History
The company BOMAG (Bopparder Maschinenbaugesellschaft) was founded in 1957 and belongs to the French FAYAT Group since 2005.
Delivery program BOMAG – MARINI
It all started with the production of the double vibratory roller BW 60. Today BOMAG has specialized in compaction technology. The company is one of the world market leaders in this area. Machines for soil, asphalt and waste compaction are produced. In addition to the tried-and-tested types BW 80 AD-5, BW 90 AD-5 and BW 100 ADM-5, the combi roller BW 100 ACM-5 is among the favorites. In addition, soil stabilizers and recycling machines are part of the product range. At the end of 2006, BOMAG took over responsibility for the production and sale of road pavers and cold milling machines from the FAYAT subsidiary MARINI. Since then, these machines have also been supplied by BOMAG.
Headquarters and dealer network
The headquarters of BOMAG GmbH are located in Boppard on the Rhine. There are other branches in different German cities. The company has 12 subsidiaries worldwide. The dealer network in 120 countries around the world is well developed.
Product development
At the main site in the Hellerwald industrial area in Boppard, in addition to production in 1976, a research and development center for compaction technology was built. In the following decades, both the premises and the production capacities were repeatedly expanded and enlarged.
The special focus of this group of companies is the further development and improvement of machines for earthworks and road construction. In 2016, the cold milling machine BM 2000 was launched on the market. This milling machine is particularly suitable for use in major projects on highways and airports.
